What else do I need to know for the “by mail” application?

All applicants are required to have a valid E-mail address to receive all documents and instructions. You will have to have a device that can open Adobe Document files. You may download the Adobe Reader program for free, following this link www.adobe.com
After receiving the license applicants have to get their signatures notarized on the pre-license, and payments have to be received no later than 31 days before the wedding date for US applicants, and 45 days before the wedding for International applicants. Express processing is available upon request at an additional cost.

What are your terms and how do I pay?

All application fees are NON REFUNDABLE
We accept online payments with a credit card through Paypal or US money orders only.
No other documentation, translations, or birth certificates are required.
Exception: If one of the applicant’s marriages ended less than 30 days before the application or wedding date, the applicant must provide a copy of the finalized court document with the date when the last marriage ended.

What is an Apostille?

We offer the filing for an Apostille for International clients. Most countries outside of the US will require an Apostille to legalize the wedding at home. One exception is the United Kingdom where the Florida Marriage Certificate is valid without an Apostille. Please check with your local authorities if an Apostille is required to legalize your wedding at home. Some marriages have to be filed with the Embassy of the respective Country and additional documentation will be required. One example is Switzerland. For countries where marriages have to be filed with the Embassy additional costs will apply. It is the applicant’s responsibility to get information about the necessary steps to legalize the wedding at home.
